Meeting users where they are is sometimes literally in a field in a hard hat. In service of safe and efficient maintenance of public utilities, this project aimed to provide construction teams with the information they need on mobile devices to complete and document their work in the field.

• Conducted ride-alongs, workshops and user interviews in the field and office to understand the conditions under which such work is done and documented
• Developed personas, workflows and prototypes to support the iOS development team in building a custom app to support this field work
• Designed a custom sketch interface for ad hoc construction drawings and partnered with users and engineering on its development
• Collaborated with other designers on cross-product design systems
